Ask about itMore than the next colorful belt.
"Martial arts is so much more than just kicking and punching, and getting the next colorful belt," says Master Ali. "It's about developing confidence, discipline, character, focus and respect."
MBK has been a Maryland martial arts staple for more than 30 years, known for its instructors and for what families call legendary customer service. Parents describe a village of instructors who refuse to give up on their kids.
After a flood destroyed the school's Business Parkway home in late 2025, students, families and the wider karate community helped MBK rebuild. Classes continue at its Dorsey Road location in Elkridge.
